内容記述 | In this study, we investigate students at preschool teacher and teacher training programs and how they are becoming childcare givers through practical training .Out-of-school training for these students provide opportunities to encounter everyday situations in childcare, deepen their understanding of children through active involvement with them, and learn about the importance of various roles at the same time. The experience of outside-of-school training for students in preschool teacher and teacher training programs will likely be in measuring individual differences in development. In particular, this study adopts an approach incorporating preschool teacher-efficacy as a key for measuring individual differences in developmental changes, namely, the students who used the preschool teacher and teacher training programs as opportunities to, as much as possible, determine the characteristics that they should be able to offer as preschool teachers. A longitudinal survey was conducted across two points in time, before and after the training, that targeted female third-year university students attending kindergarten training in a preschool teacher training program. The results indicate that preschool teacher-efficacy increased after the training. This indicates the effects of practical learning. Additionally, before and after the training, this study examined whether there were differences in the changes in preschool teacher-efficacy due to the degree of the students’ aspiration to be a preschool teacher. | |||||
