Dialectal variations, translanguaging practices, and culturally specific communication styles among Uzbek children often pose challenges for Japanese interviewers. The interpreter’s role extends beyond linguistic translation to encompass cultural mediation, bridging communication gaps and ensuring accurate conveyance of the child’s testimony.
