内容記述 | This research examines the actual human and physical environment of play in children’s centers and clubs, where children spend their time after school, and the play situation of what kind of play children engage in. The purpose of this study was to explore issues related to “enriching play” for children after school based on selfassessments and awareness of “support for play” by support workers. A survey was conducted among child support workers. As a result, “play equipment play,’’ “jumping rope,’’ “dodgeball,’’ “tag,’’ and “soccer’’ are often played as “outdoor play’’ at children’s centers and clubs. In addition, “indoor play” includes “reading/picture book aloud,” “playing with dolls/stuffed animals,” “craft/handicrafts/origami,” “drawing,” “talking,” “card games,” “board games,” “Blocks and LaQ,’’ “word games,’’ “puzzles,’’ “shogi,’’ “paper airplanes,’’ “pretend play,’’ and “cradles’’ were the most popular. Regarding the involvement of support staff, many of them said, “They play together in group play,’’ and more than half of the support staff said, “I stay close to the children and help them play together in a fun and safe manner as playmates and companions.’’ It shows that “we are supporting the On the other hand, there are fewer respondents who answered “I am able to do it’’ for the following three items: “Introducing play activities that children are unfamiliar with,’’ “Teaching them the skills and knowledge necessary for play,’’ and “Leading the play while playing together.’’ This was the result. | |||||||||||||
