F. Schumacher’s “Buddhist economics,” this reflection argues that distributism is a reasonable and viable “Christian economics.” First, distributism is overviewed within its historical and religious context. Next, a rationale for the idea of a “Christian economics” is developed. Finally, it is proposed that UBI is becoming the default economic reality and that distributism is the only realistic alternative, though they are not entirely incompatible.
