In particular, the study focuses on lyrics and the level of recognition of music as distinctive characteristics of the music piece and the listener, respectively. Specifically, the study conducted a questionnaire survey on 121 female university students before, during, and after listening to music. The results indicate that piano pieces without lyrics, which the participants identified with high levels of recognition, exhibited the greatest effects on emotional experience. The findings suggest that listening to highly recognizable piano pieces without lyrics induces a stable mood and positive sense of self-understanding. Previous research suggests that nostalgia induces a feeling of relaxation. However, the current study indicates that a deepened sense of self-awareness softens nostalgia, which induces a state of relaxation. This result may be due to differences in the degree and quality of the mental reality that music induces in the listener. Thus, further investigation on the mechanism through which nostalgia induces changes in mental reality is an interesting direction for future research.}, pages = {1--9}, title = {音楽聴取が感情体験に与える影響 : 楽曲に対する認知度と歌詞の役割に着目して}, volume = {21}, year = {2021} }
